Senior full - stack Software Engineer - Platform & Cloud

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and scale the application platform surrounding our AI and business systems. You will work across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, databases, cloud infrastructure and integrations, taking ownership of features from architecture through production deployment. The ideal candidate is a strong backend-focused full-stack engineer who understands how to build secure, scalable and maintainable applications in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs and microservices.

Build responsive and maintainable web applications using React/Next.js.

Develop RESTful and, where required, GraphQL APIs.

Design database schemas and optimize queries for PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.

Implement caching and performance optimization using Redis.

Build event-driven and asynchronous systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS or similar technologies.

Integrate third-party APIs, payment systems and external services.

Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth and RBAC.

Design secure APIs following modern application-security and OWASP practices.

Deploy and maintain applications on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.

Containerize applications using Docker and manage production deployments.

Work with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools where required.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Monitor production applications, troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.

Write unit, integration and API tests.

Participate in architecture and system-design discussions.

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers and the AI engineering team.

Integrate AI/ML services developed by the AI engineering team into production applications.

Must Have Skills

5+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience.

Strong experience with React.js / Next.js.

Excellent REST API development skills.

Experience with microservices architecture.

Strong database knowledge, particularly PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.

Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.

AWS or another major cloud platform.

Docker and CI/CD.

Strong understanding of authentication, authorization and API security.

Experience with Git and Agile development.

Good understanding of system design, scalability and performance

Preferred Skills

Python / FastAPI / Django.

GraphQL.

Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ or AWS SQS/SNS.

Kubernetes.

Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

AWS ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront and API Gateway.

WebSockets / real-time applications.

Automated testing using Jest, Playwright, Cypress or similar.

Experience integrating LLM, RAG or AI APIs.

Experience working alongside AI/ML engineers.
